St.Mary's Munro Feb 2017:
The Rev'd David Perryman will be inducted as Curite-in-Charge of the Parish of Avon on Monday 6th February at 7.30pm in Holy Trinity Church, Stratford. David will also work as the Bishop's Chaplain for two days per week. David is currently working in the Parish of Wonthaggi/Inverloch. He and his wife Emma, and their two children Timonthy and Elijah will move to Stratford in early February.
David was born in Wangaratta but raised in Cape Patterson from the age of 2 onwards. David attended Newhaven College with the intention to study Forensic Science but ended up working for KFC for 11 years as an assistant and then restaurant manager. After discerning God's call to ministry he began studying at Trinity College in 2010.
David spent 3 years on placement at Korumburra/Poowong but mainly resided at the Parish of Wonthaggi/Inverloch. Whilst there he was a musician both on organ and guitar, a Youth Group leader and Lay Reader amongst other aspects of ministry.
He comes from a small line of clergy within his family tracing back to his great uncle and then to his mother. David was ordained deacon in June 2016 by Bishop Kay.
David's hobbies include playing the guitar, reading, gaming and cricket. Emma's include singing, playing guitar and being a full time mom to their children Timothy and Elijah.
David and Emma are excited to be in their their first parish and beginning fulltime ministry. They look forward to taking part in God's plan for the parish and the ways in which they can engage and preach the Gospel in both the Church and the wider community.
